NOTICE PRESCOTT VAMC / Message from commander Tom mccoy
Good Morning,
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that our DAV Transportation operations at the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System are temporarily Closed due to lack of staffing.
There are no scheduled transports for the outlying CBOCs and none will be scheduled until this situation has been rectified. The local patients who qualify for transport will continue to get moved as needed. The VA has offered to assist us with coverage using their own services, and with Uber/Lyft vouchers.
The main purpose of this email is my request to you and your members to help us find a new HSC. Please post this opening on your websites and pass the word around to your other local Veteran Service Organizations. We are looking for a good person who is interested in supporting our Veteran Transportation Network while earning a little extra money. The position is ideal for a retired individual who is somewhat knowledgeable on computers and cares about his fellow Veterans and can devote a 30 to 40 hour work week. We will provide all the training needed. If you have questions about the position, you can reach the Jr. Vice Commander at (602) 739-2922 or email Bruce at jr.vice@az-dav.org.
With your help, it is our hope to have the NAVAHCS VTN program up and running by March 1, 2022.
Thank you for your help and understanding,
Tom
